Cooking with GADDS'

Orange & Green Hop Vinaigrette

Whisk up a little GADDS' Green Hop Ale with a minced shallot, a tablespoon of honey, a teaspoon of orange zest and some Dijon mustard. Slowly blend in a good olive oil. Season with salt & freshly cracked black pepper to taste.


It works quite well; the bitterness of the beer does provide a little bite but is well balanced by the sweetness of the honey. Do be careful not to over-grate the orange or you will get unwelcome bitterness coming through.

Serve on salad. Or sourdough.
